Ophthalmologist – Medical Director
Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital is seeking an experienced, BC/BE Ophthalmologist - Medical Director to lead our well-established and growing practice in Presque Isle, Maine. This hospital-employed position combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities, offering the unique opportunity to provide oversight and guidance to a team of top-notch providers. With three other hospital-employed physicians in the practice, we provide general ophthalmology, glaucoma, and medical retina care to a large population of patients in the Northern Maine area.
Position Highlights:
- A full ancillary support staff (including scribes and ophthalmology assistants)
- 1 day of OR, 4 days of clinic
- Full clinical call team to assist in call coverage after hours
- Trauma volume is low
- Full procedure room and internal radiology service on-site
Compensation Information:
- $584,254 annual base salary with the ability to earn additional compensation based on productivity.
- The compensation range listed reflects the range Northern Light Health anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.
